Castaways seeks an ambitious and entrepreneurial Service Manager to join their team. This individual must have both hands on and management experience at a boat yard, with a drive to develop their own service side of the business within the Castaways facility. Experience and knowledge of all elements of each service department to include, mechanical and electrical systems with exceptional problem solving skills is a requirement. The Service Manager, although an independent entrepreneur, will work with the Castaways General Manager to provide the best experience and service. In addition, the Service Manager will:

· Be required to have a knowledge of all systems aboard motor yachts 30-100 feet

· Have experience with and management of mechanical running gear, gas/diesel engines, electrical, dry-docking, docking plan and blocking, and bottom paint applications

· Develop long standing relationships through exceptional customer service

· Effectively manage and mentor a team of their own technicians

· Manage and prioritize multiple projects aboard various vessels

· Prepare estimates and proposals for service projects

Qualifications:

• Previous experience as a mechanic
• Knowledge of shop equipment
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
• Deadline and detail-oriented
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
